This website, moheyuddin.com.pk, is run by Dr. Ghulam Mohey-ud-din (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what personal data the site collects, why, how long it is kept and what choices you have. The site is designed to collect as little as possible.
1. What I collect
Consultation inquiries
When you send the inquiry form I receive your name, email address, organisation (optional), the type of engagement, timeline and procurement route (optional) and a description of the assignment. You tick a box to agree before sending. The inquiry is stored privately in the site’s database and a copy is emailed to me. It is used only to reply to you and to arrange any work that follows.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, I store your email address, the page you signed up from, the date, whether you have confirmed, and a one-way scrambled version of your IP address used only to block automated sign-ups. Subscription is double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. The list is kept on this site and is not shared with or sold to anyone.
Server logs
Like every website, the hosting server records technical data for each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are not used to identify visitors.
The site has no comments, no user accounts for visitors, and no analytics service. Fonts are served from this site, so no font provider receives your IP address.
2. Advertising (Commentary pages only)
Pages in the Commentary section may show Google AdSense ads. No other part of the site shows ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are shown.
You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
3. Cookies
- Advertising cookies set by Google, on Commentary pages only, as described above.
- Embedded videos. A few pages embed YouTube videos; YouTube may set cookies when a video is played.
- Site administration cookies set by WordPress only for people who log in to manage the site.
The forms on this site do not set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
4. How long data is kept
- Inquiries stored on the site: deleted automatically 24 months after they are received.
- Newsletter sign-ups that are never confirmed: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Newsletter subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe. Your address is deleted from the list as soon as you unsubscribe.
- Email correspondence: kept in my professional mailbox for as long as needed for the work concerned.
5. Who else handles data
Personal data is never sold, rented or traded. It is handled by others only where needed to run the site:
- the web hosting provider, which stores the site and its database and keeps server logs;
- the email service that delivers inquiry notifications and newsletter emails;
- Google, for ads on Commentary pages and for embedded YouTube videos.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email drgm@moheyuddin.com.pk. I will reply within 30 days.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Inquiries and the subscriber list are stored in the site’s database and are visible only to the site administrator. Forms are protected against automated abuse without third-party scripts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but reasonable care is taken.
8. Changes to this policy
If the site’s use of data changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
