Spatial Inequality and Urban Governance in Punjab: A GIS-Based Assessment

This study employs spatial econometric techniques and GIS mapping to analyze patterns of urban inequality across Punjab’s major cities. Using Moran’s I spatial autocorrelation and geographically weighted regression (GWR), the research identifies significant clustering of deprivation in peri-urban zones. Policy implications for municipal governance reform under the Punjab Local Government Act are discussed.
